Moon Country sees two poets, Armitage and Maxwell, set off in 1994 to explore Iceland, its unique geography and its ancient political institutions. Their findings are presented in this book, which is a mixture of poetry, prose, reportage and imaginative elaboration, and aims to reflect contemporary concerns. Their journey follows the footsteps of W.H. Auden and Louis MacNeice and their trip to Iceland.
